Your in-game name: LazarkGamingHow old you are: 22 Your gender: Male Have you been banned on any other servers? Not in general terms, as in usual rule breaking. I have been banned once in the recent year, for something that is quite complex. I'm happy to talk about it privately or explain it somewhere else, but I'm here to apply for mod, not to talk about unfortunate events that happened to me. Why do you think you should be a moderator? I have a lot of experience as staff, my most recent post, was moderator on a large skyblock server, with around 300-400 players on daily. I was staff there for a little under 3 months, being such a large server the pressure is quite high, and mistakes are held accountable to even something as minor as telling a player that something may be allowed, when they're not sure. Demotions on these servers happen weekly, the staff team I was in were about 15 strong. A few dozen bans a day, more on the weekends. Likely a thousand punishments given a day, and as a more senior staff member (Our team ranks were helper, mod and senior mod, although we only had 2 senior mods for most of my stay.) it was very busy, likely no rest for a couple of hours, dealing with questions, helping the players, and of course moderating the network. Due to my timezone, and working hours, I would often be the only staff member online. Due to it being extremely hectic for myself, dealing with 4 or 5 situations at once, I gained respect from our higher staff (Admins/Managers) very quickly, after just 1 week being a helper (kick/warn/mute, basic things) I was promoted to mod. Usual waiting time was 1-3 months depending on commitment and effort. So making it clear, I had one of, if not the fastest promotions from helper to mod in the server's history. My main attitude, was fair, but realistic. Something you gain from life experience, as an adult, through working with people, and meeting new people with different views to yourself. Another reason, which I started to get into already, was my work. Part of my job, which I work about 40 hours a week on, is dealing with customers, many in fact, and local businesses. So I've gained a lot of skills there, working with different people, and their own needs. I feel that these skills can be applied to moderating on a server. As players have their own needs, and different players prefer to be talked to in a different way. Whilst being polite is what I'll be, some people prefer just general chat, some like humour and for one to be relaxed. Leading onward, just being an adult, someone with a lot of life experience than your average Minecraft player helps me a lot. Helps me, help you. I know many situations, many I've been through myself, I feel that I'll be able to understand problems, different players go through better than someone who is younger, and is still in 'basic' education (GCSE/ A levels or High School). How long can you be active on the server every day? A couple of hours at least, I think is quite reasonable. What country do you live in? England, UK. How long have you been on the server? I joined sometime last year, on the last map. I left in early Spring, and due to have decided to return again, only just last week. Anything else? I'm an Architect, I've proven that, at least financially, I want this server to thrive. Whilst I may be new in some peoples eyes, that isn't always negative, especially given my circumstances. So some of you may want to -1 me, because you think I'm new. But whilst I'm open to criticism, I think there should be more reasons that just that. If the staff feel I would be a good addition to the team, I would rather join with majority support from the players, but I would add, I would be happy to prove that I can do the job well. I'm more concerned over unnecessary childish conflict, than myself. So I implore you to write well thought out criticisms, than just a -1 and a few words. Same thing goes for abstains, unless you can write out why you're on the fence. In the real world, during elections, there isn't an option to abstain, unless you decide not to vote. But then I'd get too much into history, and why not voting is disrespectful to our ancestors. Luckily this is just Minecraft, but I'd prefer a -1 to an abstain, unless you're willing to explain it. Anyway, thanks for reading. - Lazark |

-1 you think that everyone is immature compared to you. You can't take jokes, and you have abused your architect permissions in the past (You may have changed but im sticking with this conclusion). http://webbcraft.co.uk/forum/read_topic.php?id=7027 ^This is the complaint I submitted about a year ago regarding Lazark's misuse of architect perms |

I’m actually quite curious as to what server you are talking about in your application. When I looked through your server history I only found one skyblock server which was only about the size of our server, not 300-400 players.Your long history about this server on this application means nothing. Just because you were the only staff online on that server doesnt mean you will be on ours. Your history of Architect abuse which you quite coincidentally forgot to put in this application leads me to believe that you wouldn’t be good staff at all. -1 |

I’d also like to add that you say that you have “proven that you want the server to thrive” even though you really have no history of doing so because of the several ispf not dozens of times you had abused your permissions in the past. |

At least back your accusations up galbby, when did I say everyone else is immature. I remember what you were talking about, but it was you who came to that conclusion. After your recent doings, I don't think it's fair for you to make a comment about my alleged abuse, as staff never felt it was worthy of punishment, or even if what happened actually happened. Secondly, it happened nearly a year ago. Is it possible one can change in a year? To Captain, I said I have proven financially, which shows I have an invested interest in the server's well being. Also, I asked you to PM about the server, as I don't want to advertise in anyway the server in question. I also spoke to some staff here, before I applied, I didn't just apply out of the blue. |

Just because you spend alot of money supporting the server does not nessecarily mean that you deserve staff. There are many non-donator players on the server who deserve staff much more than you do.Second off, I'm the one who should be judging you, as the reviewer of this application. You trying to call me immature does nothing whatsoever in your advantage, apart from making me more firm in my resolve of -1ing. Third off, you still haven't addressed your issue with afking |

I'm abstaining for now. Although your application (to me) is quite phenomenal, I have only seen you on time to time, and not really an active player. About any of the accusations above, and things about your previous actions, I will not take that into account of this vote. I believe forgiveness is the way to success (I've included a Bible verse about it :P,) so anything I see from you this point forward will determine my opinion of you.Ephesians 4:31-32: Get rid of all bitterness, passion, and anger. No more shouting or insults, no more hateful feelings of any sort. Instead, be kind and tender-hearted to one another, and forgive one another, as God has forgiven you through Christ. |

-1 (Would abstain, but you asked for this). I haven't seen any of the exemplary behavior that allegedly got you promoted from Helper to Mod in 1 week on your other server. |

Regardless of what galbby would like to believe, he isnt the reviewer of the application, I am, along with the other staff members. Galbby, evidence of a single case from a year ago doesnt really prove much.My personal vote on this for now is Abstain. I have seen no evidence of this wonderful behaviour that got you promoted so quickly elsewhere, as zed stated. Additionally, I would like to see that you will be active daily for a good bit, as currently we need staff for specific timezone, and the more coverage the better. |

Originally I wanted, at least as a joke, to get the most online time on the server for December whilst most of it would be AFK time. Like I said, a joke. But Galbby brings a valid point, so since he made it, I haven't really been AFK at all. I've been helping out players when no staff are online, during UK day time. I'm getting or at least requesting staff when they're needed for more urgent issues. I want to better myself through these criticisms, and so far I think I'm doing well on some of them. I think activity is a huge point, so as soon as it was raised, I made sure I would be dealing with it. To make things easier on my part, whilst I'm Architect, I'm now playing most of my time in survival, and really trying to get involved with the majority of game-play that is played through out the server. I hope that even if you don't feel I'm ready just yet, that I'm making some decent progress. Thank you. |

I'm giving this a bump. I want to state, and I've told numerous staff privately this too, I can't commit like most of the current staff can. But I do like the community, and if you want my help, as a moderator, then I'll gladly help out where I can. |
